About

I’m Glyn Parry, a photographer based in the Algarve, Portugal, specialising in portraiture and professional headshots.

With more than 16 years of professional photographic experience, including nine years working in Sydney, my work focuses on photographing people in a clear, natural, and considered way — creating portraits that feel genuine rather than staged.

I work with people who understand that a portrait is not simply an image, but a form of representation. Whether photographed in the studio or on location, sessions are conducted in a calm and relaxed way, allowing expression and character to emerge naturally rather than through performance or affectation.

The aim is to produce photographs that feel credible, assured, and appropriate to their intended use — images that represent people well, both professionally and personally, and that retain their value over time.

Alongside commissioned portrait and headshot work, I continue to develop a small number of personal photographic projects, often shaped by place, people, and quiet observation, particularly around the Algarve coastline. In 2025 I was awarded the Order of Merit by the Algarve Camera Club in recognition of my photographic work.

I also offer one-to-one photography tuition for photographers who wish to develop their skills in a practical and focused way, working either in the studio or on location around the Algarve.
