Based in Vilamoura, I offer private photography tuition and workshops for up to three photographers at carefully selected locations across the Algarve.
How Private Photography Tuition Works
Before the session, we will discuss your photography experience, the camera and lenses you use, and what you would most like to improve. I will then plan the tuition around your goals rather than following a standard course or fixed lesson.
During the session, you will photograph alongside me in real situations while I explain the relevant camera settings, light and composition. We will review your images as we work, identify what is succeeding and make practical adjustments you can use immediately.

Photography Tuition Locations Across the Algarve
Based in Vilamoura, I offer private photography tuition at suitable locations across the Algarve. Depending on what you want to learn, your session might take place along the coast, in a town or village, in the countryside, or at another location chosen for its light and photographic opportunities.
The location is agreed in advance and selected to support your learning goals rather than following a fixed route. Indoor sessions can also be arranged when the tuition focuses on portrait lighting, image editing, colour management or fine-art printing.

I bring 17 years of practical photographic experience across landscapes, portraits, studio lighting, products, sport and fine-art printing, supported by a Diploma in Photography. This breadth allows the tuition to move beyond basic camera settings and respond to the particular kind of photography you want to develop.
My teaching is calm, practical and straightforward. I explain the reason behind each setting or technique, demonstrate it where helpful and then give you time to apply it yourself. The aim is not to overwhelm you with technical terminology, but to help you make confident photographic decisions when you are working independently.

Designed for beginners, new camera owners or photographers who want to move beyond automatic settings. The session can cover camera controls, aperture, shutter speed, ISO, autofocus and the practical foundations needed to photograph with greater confidence.
Half-Day Private Tuition
4 hours — from €225
A more detailed practical session tailored to your experience and interests. This option allows time to develop camera technique, composition and an understanding of light while photographing in a suitable Algarve location.
Full-Day Private Photography Workshop
7 hours — from €395
A comprehensive day for photographers who want to work more deeply on their technique, creative approach or a particular photographic subject. The additional time allows for several locations, changing light, detailed image review and more individual guidance.
