Beginners Half or Full Day Landscape Field Workshop Course

from €225.00

Landscape Field Workshop — Beginner Level

A half-day or full-day landscape photography workshop for photographers who already have a basic understanding of camera operation and want to begin applying that knowledge with greater confidence in the field.

The workshop focuses on working in real locations, responding to light, conditions, and landscape, rather than following a classroom-style structure.

Focus

Time is spent identifying and refining compositions on location, considering elements such as framing, balance, perspective, and focal length. The emphasis is on learning how to see potential images within the landscape and making deliberate compositional choices.

Camera settings are addressed as part of the working process, with guidance on selecting appropriate exposure, aperture, shutter speed, and ISO in response to changing light and environment.

Working in the Field

As conditions change, participants are guided through practical decision-making in real situations, including how to adapt settings for different light levels and how to maintain control over exposure and sharpness.

The use of filters is introduced where appropriate, including polarising and neutral density filters, with an emphasis on understanding when they are useful and how they affect the final image.

Guidance and Pace

Workshops are kept intentionally small to allow time for individual guidance and discussion. Feedback is offered throughout the session as images are made, allowing participants to refine their approach gradually and with clarity.

Duration

Workshops are available as:

  • Half-day sessions

  • Full-day sessions

The duration is agreed in advance based on objectives and conditions.

Suitability

This workshop is intended for photographers who have completed a basic photography course or equivalent and want to develop confidence and consistency when photographing landscapes on location.
